TrashDash is a local company with Global ambitions. We are the future of Litter control. By putting its responsibility and control into our own hands as a community. I want to monetize the collection and disposal of litter. All you have to do is tell us a location you would like cleaned up and PLEDGE some amount of money towards its collection, someone will be dispatched out to clean it. Not only will the trash collected be be worth money, but we are proposing a community merit token called TrashCash, a Cryptocurrency-like token that can be used at local establishments as discounts. And the businesses that accept TrashCash can redistribute it back into the community for good deeds, keeping it circulating.

Please pledge any amount you can to help get TrashDash some solid forward momentum. We are in need of $50,000 that would go to the development of the mobile platform. We are in need of trash bags, litter pickers, safety vests, gloves, dumpsters, trucks, uniforms and many more tools to clean trash off our city blocks.

Littering is one of those things that has no upside. It is an eyesore, it spreads dirt and bacteria, it’s an expensive problem to deal with, and it harms the planet. Yet, people continue to litter, and as our population grows, the litter problem only increases. Here are some facts about littering that may come as a shock to you.

9 billion tonnes of rubbish finds its way into the sea every year, which is a staggering statistic.

Even more staggering is the fact that there are currently 5.25 trillion pieces of plastics in the ocean right now.

Victoria BC alone spends about $43.5 million for cleaning up litter. This is a huge amount of taxpayers’ money, and if they were able to reduce the litter problem, at least a portion of this could be spent on other important things.

We here at TrashDash are committed to putting an end to litter by handing its responsibility back in the hands of our community. It’s our brothers and sisters who cause this problem, so we need to be a solution.
